Feather Hawk Falls

To reach Feather Hawk Falls, follow trail 202 - Randolph to the end point at the river. An old style trail sign (round post with carved numbers on an angled face) marks the spot. You can also reach this point by following trail 209 - Sipsey River to where it joins 202 and then cross the river.

Facing that marker looking back at 202, about a yard to the right at about a 45 degree angle is a suggestion of another trail. If you poke around for a little way, you should come upon the remnants of an old road though it is very overgrown. This road as it were follows a creek (on your right) up a canyon. After about a half mile at the end of the canyon is the tall Feather Hawk Falls. The water drops 75 feet if not more.

For the club's experience, you may wish to see the Hiking Trip Report from April 2008.

On the Briartech map, look in the lower center section or search for Feather Hawk Falls.
